Water everywhere

There's a storm going on. Winds may be less hard than some days ago, but there's water everywhere, falling down from a dark sky and flying up from an angry sea.

Where there are ditches, these are full of water, some of it pouring over the fields and the roads.

If this wheather will last, the landscape will be like back in the early 1990's when roads were partly under water for a long time.

A lot of work has been done since that time to avoid floodings, but Saturday I saw water at the usual old places again.

In Fecamp a man drowned one night. That's at least what I've been told. I suppose it was in the sea, as he was said to have wanted to go for a nightly swim.

I deplore the poor quality of the second photo. It was already rather dark, and we didn't stop to take the picture, but you can see that there's a lot of water on the road.

water is good, but not in huge quantities.

I hope you'll get sun instead of rain.

Meillä onneksi sateet vihdoin loppuivat. Eipä olisi tullut mieleen lähteä uimaan edes tällä rannalla..vaikka suomalainen olenkin.

Huh, I wouldn't even dream of a nightly swim in a weather like that.

As so often happens, Hèléne, both photographs are breathtaking. I do like the second photo a lot as well. It may be a bit blurry, but not much, and is quite beautiful in its own right.

Finally it didn't rain very much yesterday and evben there was still water everywhere in the fields on the countryside, we didn't see but sand and gravel on the roads. The water had already drawn away. Northwards the situation is said to be worse.

Indeed, swimming cars! And the next step is to develop a vehicle which also works as a sumarine ;)

Swell pictures, as always!

No huh! Toivottavasti sade on jo lakannut ja tiet kuivaneet. Minusta tuota autosta otettua kuvaa ei tarvitse anteeksipyydellä, sehän on hieno!! Ja mitkä värit siinä on!
