Having done our duty yesterday, that is having voted, DD and I decided to get some bread.
People were queing, as so often on Sundays, in front of the bakeries. Inside too. Lunch hour was getting closer and fresh bread was needed. Maybe some pastries too.
We decided to go for a drive and headed towards Le Havre by the smallest roads we could find. There wasn't a bakery to be seen.
Once in Le Havre we cruised a little, now looking for a restaurant as we didn't find any suitable bakery.
We found a restaurant, but we still have to return to Le Havre some other time in order to find THE restaurant.
After lunch we drove to the harbour - we still didn't have our bread - and found Jopi from Naantali (Vallis Gratiae). But no bread.
So we drove back home.
And once at home again, I took the car and drove to the closest bakery to buy some bread and a chocolate éclair for dinner.
We had finally got our bread and pastry without queuing. Isn't life good!
