Less than a year ago there fell about 40 cm of snow in St Sara's Marseilles, and people were happy about this unusual event.
Last week less snow than that stopped the trains going through the tunnel from France to the UK and I have heard nothing but complaints. People wanting to sue everyone, anyone.
I remember one of my years in Brussels. The cold hadn't started yet when a friend of mine took the train for Paris. He wore just a jacket, and shortly after the train had left the Brussels Midi station the weather suddenly started to change.
The train had to stop later on, the heating broke down, and of course, my friend did'nt arrive in Paris on time.
I never heard him complain. Cold, with nothing to eat, for him it was something to tell his friends and family later on.
Never the thought of sueing the company or the god of the weathers entered his mind.
